Marina Hamilton - Painter & Sculptor

Marina Hamilton is surrounded by her greatest inspiration – native Irish animals. Her studio and gallery is located on the family farm in St Johnston, County Donegal. In both her sculpture and her painting, she tries to reflect the attitude and unique character of the animals she sees at close quarters.

She works easily between a number of mediums, including ceramic, bronze, pastel, watercolour and oil painting.

Each piece of sculpture is individually hand-built and a one-off. Her work in both clay and on canvas brings together a blend of classical and contemporary styles. Collectors of her work include Irish President Mary McAleese.
